RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER

A box has appeared on the shore in Newlyn. Inside it is a sailor keen to tell his story. Join us for a 45 minute kids performance in the day time or a 20 minute storytelling event in the evenings.

Children’s Performance

Daytimes at 12:30 and 13:30 Tuesday to Saturday on Newlyn Green.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner is an performance for young people; an irreverent deep dive into plastic pollution, ocean waste and the melting polar ice caps encouraging young people to think about the stories behind their waste by meeting an eccentric traveller in a micro-installation. 

£6 per child. Maximum 6 children per performance. 45 minutes long

Adults Performance

Evenings at 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, Tuesday to Saturday on Newlyn Green.

In the evening everything gets a lot murkier, in a performance for adults join Captain Robert Walton as he recounts his tale of woe stranded on the ice caps of the Arctic. This performance is an intimate immersive experience for one or two adults. 

£6 per person. Maximum 2 people per performance. 20 minutes long.
